Adopt-a-Highway

Quarterly, Kamehameha Lions clean both sides of the Pali Highway from Nuuanu Valley Park to upper Nuuanu Pali Drive.  We pickup discarded tires, bottles, cans and other trash.  At the end of a 2-mile project, we collect from 25-40 bags of trash.  Adopt A Highway has been an on-going project for over 17 years.  See photo of one of our cleanup crews.

Vision Screening

Our club members actively participate in vision screening projects at elementary schools in the Nuuanu, Liliha and Kalihi areas.  The Kamehameha Lions Club has a dozen dedicated vision screeners who participate on a regular basis.  In a given school year, we conduct screenings at over 20 elementary schools.  Here are a few photos of our screening projects:

Benefit Luau

Annually, the Kamehameha Lions Club Foundation sponsors a Benefit Luau to raise funds to support our community service projects and LEO scholarships.  The Kamehameha Lions are the volunteer workers at the luau.

Kaiulani School Food for Keiki Program

Nearly every week of the school year, the Kamehameha Lions distribute bags of food to Kaiulani School students.  Food for Keiki has been an on-going project for over four years.
